Post-surgery recommendations - Cataract/Glaucoma
- - the dressing on the eye that was operated on should not be removed until the first check-up visit
- - after the first ophthalmological examination eye drops will be prescribed and a date of the next check-up visit will be scheduled
- - avoid physical strain for the first 2-3 weeks
- - avoid pressing and rubbing the eye that was operated on
- - you can watch television and read
- - after 24 hours you can stop using the dressing indoors; you can wash your hair, but make sure that no shampoo gets into the eye that was operated on
- - until new glasses are prescribed (1 month after the surgery) you can keep using your old glasses
